Editorial Policy

How the BigJobs Editorial Team researches, writes, reviews and corrects the content on this site.

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Our standards

  1. Original writing. Every guide and article is written by our team in our own words. We do not copy text from other portals, coaching material or news sites.
  2. Official sources first. Statements about how a recruitment, exam or admission works are checked against the notice, rules, information bulletin or portal instructions of the responsible authority.
  3. No invented facts. We do not publish predicted vacancies, unconfirmed dates, guessed fees, leaked papers or rumoured results. Where such details would normally appear, we link to the official site and ask readers to verify the latest notice.
  4. No fake proof. We do not publish fabricated statistics, testimonials or success stories. Example candidates used to explain a process are fictional and clearly marked "(example)".
  5. Plain language. We explain jargon and avoid sensational headlines.

Sources we use

Primary sources include the websites of UPSC, SSC, IBPS, NTA, the Railway Recruitment Boards, the armed forces recruitment portals, State Public Service Commissions, the National Scholarship Portal, ministries, the Press Information Bureau and the Gazette of India. Where we refer to a secondary source, we treat it as context, not proof.

Review and updates

Pages show the date they were last reviewed. We revisit guides when an authority changes a process and when readers report a problem. Updates that change meaning are reflected in the review date.

Corrections

If we find or are told about an error, we check it against the official source and correct the page. Send corrections through our contact page, ideally with the official link.

Independence

BigJobs.in is independent of all government bodies and coaching institutes. Advertising is served by third-party networks, and advertisers have no say in our content. We do not accept payment to publish or remove information.

Safety

We never ask readers for passwords, one-time codes or payments, and we warn readers about common fraud patterns when relevant to a topic.
